Systems Test Engineer, Quantum AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) or wafer fault isolation and failure analysis techniques.
  • 2 years of experience creating test plans and related documentation.
  • 2 years of experience using test equipment.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in test automation using Python or similar language.
  • Experience managing technicians in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Experience in PCB test and verification.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom semiconductor fabrication including wafer probe.

As a Systems Test Engineer, you will work across our quantum systems from device through cryogenic signal carrying components to assure reliable screening of our processors and cryogenic signal carrying components. Additionally, you will build and maintain physical tests and infrastructure (e.g., electrical tests and fixturing) for classical and quantum components and sub-assemblies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Construct a fleet of tests for component, sub-assembly, and full system screening.
  • Work with technicians to hand over robust and reliable test systems.
  • Engage with engineers and scientists to design new test systems.
  • Define test plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process monitors.
  • Drive the productionization (creating robust and reliable) screening tests to track yield metrics.
