Software Engineer, Pipeline Infrastructure, Search

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.

    The Pipeline Infrastructure team is responsible for combining the technology for pipelines that generate signals for Search. The team develops, maintains, and optimizes the infrastructure to reliably generate SQ signals for ranking from data processing, covering all steps from processing logs/qlogs, data logic and integration API, verification, validation, and pushing to production. The team is also responsible for optimizing the pipelines and interfacing with clients of generated signals.

    In this role, you will work with the challenge of improving the most relevant Search pipelines, which need to be efficient and attend clients requirements. Use your creativity and expertise on projects that re-architect the pipelines at Search.

    Responsibilities

    • Process and generate data, considering the limits of the framework, storage, and efficiency.

    • Plan for organic growth.
    • Follow policies and regulations compliance.
    • Utilize experimentation infrastructure.
    • Monitor pipeline reliability. Detect and address outages and problems are critical components of the pipeline. Ensure pipeline validation and refresh. Automate pipeline.
