Product Manager, Payments Risk

Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience developing Internet products and technologies.
  • Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving the product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, and leading design discussions.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in product management, software engineering, or engineering management.
  • Experience in product management of the full lifecycle of software and web technologies.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the direction and strategy for the mitigation of Payments Risk on Google's products, focusing on continuous improvements for Operations, Tooling, and Partners along with impact on the Risk Machine Learning lifecycle.
  • Drive the business requirements for product launches and other projects by designing products and solutions for all business processes, reducing risk, and customer impact with increased efficiency.
  • Anticipate evolving payments landscape and emerging regulations that could impact Payments Risk product responsibilities and proactively facilitate products and/or remediations.
  • Help drive complex operational initiatives with a strategic orientation while continuously improving the overall risk mitigation solutions.
  • Work closely with Partner Engineering, Data Science, Risk Operations, and Analytics teams, and executives of key customers to drive the Risk Platform product strategy and roadmap.
