Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing role.
  • Experience managing technical projects within the infrastructure and cloud domains.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience with distributed training and optimizing performance versus costs.

    As a Principal Architect, you will work with Technical Sales teams as a technical expert to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. In this role, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.

    This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese and English with local stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Build an advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, Vice President of Development, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers.
    • Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology in the industry, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
    • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
    • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
    • Identify customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
