Hardware System Engineer

Mountain View, CA

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in signal and power integrity simulation, validation of system boards, including memory, and high-speed communication interfaces.
  • Experience with electromagnetic (EM) field and transmission line theory.
  • Experience with industry SI simulation and lab tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Designer, Cadence Sigrity tools, ADS, Hspice, TDR, VNA, probe station, and real-time scope).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a test automation and scripting technical environment.

  • Experience with PCB, connector and flexes technologies, as well as materials and component selection.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Analyze performance or requirements of hardware components, use industry appropriate tools to develop and optimize hardware component designs against requirements, and acknowledge and consider cross-functional design constraints.
    • Document hardware design, implementation, or test/validation results throughout the product life-cycle.
    • Participate in all stages of next generation consumer product development. Own Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) of product and its sub-component development.
    • Drive solutions for SI/PI issues with design engineers, PCB designers, and the system team and run analysis on performance and cost.
    • Work on design validations of high-speed interfaces (e.g., MIPI, USB, DP) and issue analysis.
