Field Performance Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in hardware development or developing code/data analyses related to hardware, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action documentation.
  • Experience in technical communication.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • ASQ certification (e.g., CRE, CQE, etc.).
  • Experience working at multiple stages in the product life cycle.

    Responsibilities

    • Navigate and synthesize product datasets (e.g., telemetry, reliability results, focus area, field returns, customer sentiment, etc.) to identify and motivate areas for product improvement.
    • Identify true root causes to systemic issues by leveraging all available data sources, including focus area, and referring to cross-product and generation-over-generation information. Distill findings into a clear problem statement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies, and identify pathways to validate these strategies.
    • Recommend and drive corrective action to improve future products.
