Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience managing system infrastructure design and delivery.
  • 10 years of experience in managing individuals, managers, and teams, as well as coaching, and developing a team.
  • 5 years of experience on scaled and high-touch support, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and leveraging core capabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in business architecture, systems design, systems integration, data architecture, and solutions delivery.
  • Ability to use data to drive strategy and business action, represent technical concepts to audiences and leadership, and influence/lead cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate engineering teams to work together, build industry leading developer infrastructure, drive adoption, and deliver impact.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and scale across an organization and distributed team.

    The Director of Support Systems leads the team that provides systems to address the support needs of YouTube users, viewers, creators, and paid subscribers. In this role, you will work to enable the support operations teams to provide strategic insights that enable YouTube to understand user needs and evolve.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $261,000-$374,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    • Incorporate the business goals of stakeholders into technical roadmaps, and evolve the broader systems strategy to lead ahead of changing business goals.
    • Lead a technical team to deliver reliable systems that create business value.
    • Drive best practices across the team, as well as culture of ownership and accountability for quality and timeliness of deliverables.
    • Lead the team to new possibilities and inspire to deliver creative solutions.
