Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in the Design-Build environment for fast track mission critical facilities (e.g., data centers, chip fab, pharma, power plants, industrial, etc.).
- Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems to include AC and DC systems and associated power management systems and SCADA tools.
- Experience in construction administration or construction management.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation and commissioning of substations, switchgear, ATP/ATS, and emergency power systems, and their control systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection.

Data Center Services Engineering (DCSEng) is a project and campus focused technical engineering role with a primary focus on providing a technical understanding of Google's data center design to the field execution and operations teams in support of their initiatives. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Participate in the project specific design review process at 30, 60, 95% releases including conceptualizing ways to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) while maintaining Google standards.
- Work with the General Contractor (GC) and Trades to develop a high level understanding of the design intent and on-time development of coordinated design details.
- Develop a detailed understanding of trade contractors project delivery strategy, planning, zoning, work sequences, etc. to help optimize and align to program level standards.
- Monitor work in the field to ensure it is being executed in line with Google's design intent and standards, as well as meeting the local codes and requirements.
- Support systems startup and commissioning processes by providing a technical understanding of the gear being installed and how the systems are designed to function, including supporting controls and monitoring systems.
