Customer Engineer Apprenticeship, Cloud Sales, September 2024 Start

Minimum qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a 2-year Master degree in Computer Science or a related technical area for the 2024/2025 academic year.
  • Admitted in the curriculum of a CFA (centre formation d'apprentis) and university or engineering school.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to work with English and French speaking colleagues/clients.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous tasks, find suitable solutions, and seek help/advice where appropriate.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/data engineering technology space.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and organizational skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.

    As a Customer Engineer Apprentice, you will join the apprenticeship program of a CFA (Centre de Formation d'Apprentis) and university or engineering school, and work part-time at Google. We offer 2 year apprenticeships for students entering a Master's degree of an engineering school or university in Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Computer Science, Data science, Security, Network, AI/ML.

    You'll join a team at Google Cloud and have the opportunity to engage with customers, understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will assist fellow Sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for customers (e.g., understand customers' business and technical needs, propose and present GCP solutions, build demos or PoCs, etc.).

    Responsibilities

    • Undertake training and follow mentoring as specified.
    • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
    • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
    • Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
