Corporate Accounting Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP system.

  • Experience with GAAP and internal control best practices.

  • Experience creating accounting memos and process documentation.
  • Ability to handle a varied and diverse workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, high degree of attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the accounting close process and make critical business decisions during the close to ensure smooth close processing.
    • Develop and maintain operational accounting policies, implement process improvements to enhance the existing policies and streamline close activities. Serve as the primary business owner of the general ledger system provisions, security roles, system configurations, validations, and General Ledger (GL) data elements governance.
    • Collaborate with business and engineering partners to troubleshoot accounting system issues that impacts the close operations.Assist with special projects, such as system implementations, automation, or process designs.
    • Assist on non-routine accounting transactions analysis and operational accounting process documentations.
    • Collaborate with and support adhoc accounting projects with business partners, including Controllership and cross-functional Finance teams. Prepare executive-level presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
