Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
OUR IMPACT
Global Markets Operational Risk (GMOR) has created a team focused specifically on Unauthorized Trading across GBM and Corporate Treasury. This team is responsible for creating a new suite of analytical capabilities aimed at early detection and escalation of potential unauthorized trading, by inspecting control exceptions and anomalous activity patterns across the pre-trade, trade, and post-trade lifecycle. Additionally, this function will deploy a targeted control testing program to evaluate the effectiveness of the UT control suite. GMOR UT Business Intelligence (BI) team leads initiatives in close partnership with multiple business unit teams across the Global Markets Division (GMD) to implement high quality BI solutions and Data Analytics to meet these business goals, resulting in the ability to use financial analytics to make data-driven decisions and suggestions.

The team is seeking a skilled professional who will provide business insights for data driven decisions. In this role, you will apply your quantitative, problem solving and client service skills to support the various business units and clients. You will also play a key role in suggesting and implementing process improvements for the team to mitigate risks.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Architect and build an analytics platform that is scalable and reusable and will enable rapid development of analytics and metrics.
- Collaborate with various subject matter experts to locate, ingest and model siloed data sets that are essential for comprehensive data analytics function.
- Leverage your innovative skills to connect data across GBM and CT, using data analytics and trend analysis to identify anomalies for investigation.
- Development of BI solutions across GMOR teams using capabilities such as Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, and R/Python
- Expand the team's analytic capabilities by building advances statistical models, including predictive models.
- Prepare to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle, including pre trade, point of trade, and post trade by interacting with the business, middle office, and engineering teams in order to work toward a shared goal
- Manage project prioritization and stakeholder engagement to maximize delivery towards established business goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in Business Intelligence/Digital Transformation
- Analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work within a high-risk environment and meet challenging deadlines and targets
- Ability to communicate clearly with end users, development managers and other stakeholders
- Proficient in db query languages such as SQL
- Proficient in Data Visualization with tools such as Tableau
- Proficient in prescriptive analytics using tools such as Alteryx
- Experience with using multi-dimensional data modeling/data warehousing for data analytics and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting banking.
- Experience in gathering and documenting requirements with full testing traceability
- Experience in predictive analytics using tools such as Alteryx, Python, or R
- Create and maintain ETL processes using a vast array of tools

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
