The Multi-Asset Platform Sales (MAPS) team provides comprehensive sales coverage to a broad array of institutional clients of the firm. The coverage spans Equities, Credit (High Yield and Investment Grade), Rates, Mortgages, and FX, and includes a close partnership with the Commodities and Emerging Markets businesses. The team has an entrepreneurial atmosphere, where emphasis is placed on understanding our clients and growing business by expanding market share, involving clients in new products, and bringing new client opportunities into the firm. Many of our clients are asset agnostic and are simply looking for best ideas and the most efficient way to implement them. Others want one touchpoint at the firm that understands their business and can best strategically serve them across products. The MAPS team is uniquely positioned to help clients find and execute the best ideas the Global Markets division has to offer by leveraging the team's expertise across asset classes and delivering those resources in a timely manner.

This sales role within the MAPS FICC team's Macro pod is for entrepreneurial and intellectually curious individuals who seek experience in client coverage and building long term relationships. The core function of the role is to assist clients with managing their exposures across a variety of over the counter FICC macro markets by developing long term business partnerships. This position involves working as part of a collaborative team and includes direct daily interaction with clients, traders, GS Research, management and supporting or partnering functions and business lines.

Responsibilities in this role:

  • Aid the team in delivering the best of GS macro products and services to our real money and levered client base which spans across credit, equity, multi-asset and traditional macro fund managers.
  • Develop a particularly deep understanding of FX, rates and other FICC macro products, including how they can best assist our clients in managing various exposures
  • Aid in organization of assorted team projects and growth initiatives
  • Help develop new client opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience within a sales, trading or adjacent front office roles in OTC products
  • Understanding and passion for in macro financial markets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic is essential
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfort level with quantitative subject matter
  • Creative thinking and strong focus on problem solving

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
