The Residential Whole Loan Trading Desk is seeking an Analyst to contribute to the continued growth and success of the residential loan trading business within Global Banking & Markets The residential loan trading desk purchases & aggregates residential whole loans with the intent of selling/reconstituting those loans via Securitization (MBS) or Whole Loan Sale. Candidates should be expected to eventually synthesize and understand credit and interest rate risk associated with residential mortgage loans. In addition, candidates will interface with various clients including both loan originators, buy side accounts, as well as GS personnel touching different areas of the residential loan ecosystem.

  • 1-3 years of industry experience
  • Quantitative and technical skills/experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel (including VBA), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Candidate's responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing daily Risk & P&L position of the desk
  • Managing daily funding and hedge positions of the desk
  • Producing and publishing daily pricing sheets for several different loan products
  • Bidding regularly on bulk whole loan packages
  • Working with different clients on various trading opportunities
  • Collaborating with different teams within GBM that support the desk's infrastructure such as Transaction Management, Trade Analytics, Asset Management

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
