The Role & YOUR IMPACT
Do you have a deep subject matter expertise and a passion for risk management? We're looking for a professional to join our First line Risk Management team within the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) Division. In this role, you would partner with front to back business units supporting our client franchise to manage and improve our operational risk & resilience, particularly related to Third-Party Risk Profile. Your opportunity for high visibility impact includes analyzing the key risks and controls managed by GBM, applying risk management tools to monitor and communicate to the leadership group on these risks, associated remediation plans, and sharing best practices to continuously improve Risk management culture and the control environment.

OUR IMPACT
The GBM Third Party Risk Management & Strategy team within GBM oversees the control framework and guides GS managers implement oversight on a broad spectrum of processes managed by Third Parties. The Risk Control position in GBM Third Party Risk Management & Strategy team provides an opportunity for a dynamic and risk-aware individual to take part in shaping GBM's Third Party control framework related to a broad spectrum of firm policies and processes. The role is part of a team responsible for overseeing aspects of Risk Management, Policy Implementation, Quality Assurance, Audit facilitation and relative analytics for the GBM teams. The successful candidate will be able to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Supporting the divisions to ensure compliance with the firms Vendor Management (VM) programs
• Understanding of well recognized risk management frameworks and a proven track record of implementation
• Working knowledge of the regulatory landscape and its applicability to the vendor ecosystem
• Managing vendor profiles, performing oversights and co-ordinate with Vendor relationship owners on-boarding/off-boarding and incident management of divisional third-party vendors
• Consistently deliver on monthly/ quarterly deadlines on divisional risk management requirements
• Contribute to developing and enhancing quality assurance framework, processes and procedures
• Co-ordinating with stakeholders across the organization (e.g. compliance, technology) to support deliverables
• Support in performance monitoring and reporting to divisional stakeholders on VM activities, including outstanding risks, incidents and control measures
• Supporting the divisions to ensure compliance with the firms Vendor Management (VM) programs
• Acts as a culture carrier by embedding in the team or region; propagates a risk mind-set and awareness of Operational Risk
• Build data tracking and management tooling which can be leveraged for reporting to senior stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of information security technologies such as identity and access management, Encryption and multi factor authentication, penetration test and patch management
• Experience completing control reviews, risk assessments, scenario analysis, incident / event post-mortems assessment and other similar assessment methodologies

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• This role requires a self-starter that can liaise across Global Banking and Markets both regionally and globally. Solid understanding of the global markets franchise offered by the firm and experience within a risk management context are required. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills along with an interest in the broader control environment within financial services are essential to succeed in this role.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial banking/vendor management/risk management or banking operations
• Proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel (pivot table, V-lookup functions) etc.
• Knowledge of Third-Party Due Diligence processes (onboarding, ongoing and termination)
• Fast learner, good analytical skills with attention to detail
• Highly organised, ability to work to tight corporate deadlines, whilst under pressure without compromising accuracy
• Understanding of the different risk domains pertaining to third parties would be an added advantage
• Passion for delivering and promoting quality in all aspects of your work and applying professional judgement
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate as a global team and build strong relationship with key stakeholders across Divisions.
• Keeps current with emerging business, economic and market trends
