TheStructured Finance Analytics team under Global Banking & Markets division is seeking a motivated professional to support Global Market's mortgage loan trading and banking business. The team has product expertise across residential assets, consumer loans, real estate, and warehouse financing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide detailed analytics to the Mortgage Banking teams on varied assets classes and associated financial products including agency/non-agency new origination residential mortgage loans, non-performing/re-performing loans, investor loans, single family rental, manufactured housing, second liens, Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), bridge loans, mortgage servicing rights, and Consumer loans.
  • Responsibilities include working on various stages of advisory projects analyzing and stratifying loan pools, including various asset classes such is Prime Jumbo, Qualified Mortgage (QM), Non-QM, and HELOCs, and determining appropriate modeling assumptions to run pricing analytics.
  • Support the Residential Finance desk on various Principal and Agented Residential Mortgage-Backed Securitizations.
  • Support the Structured Finance desk on various consumer deal securitizations (with underlying assets such as personal loans, student loans, home improvements, and solar loans) and produce analytics.
  • Work closely with the structuring teams to model the varied asset classes correctly to appropriately estimate the deal cashflows in Intex.
  • Work on various rating agency models (S&P LEVELS, MILAN, and Fitch) and analyze the collateral's default factors impacting the credit enhancement at both pool and loan level.
  • Provide thoughtful color and commentary regarding the collateral being analyzed and key valuation drivers. Estimate credit losses on the collateral using existing valuation models, rating agency models, and summarize output for management/client presentation.
  • Work on huge data sets to analyze historical performance such as CDRs (Constant default rates), CPRs (Conditional prepayment rates), Gross/ Net Losses, and recoveries on the underlying collateral.
  • Manage cross-functional relationship with the desk, IBD, transaction management, diligence, operation, controller, and technology team to ensure monthly portfolio activities are accurately represented.
  • Manage junior analysts on the team to produce accurate results (for VP candidates only).

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/DEGREE AND FIELD:

Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent)

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3+ years of experience in the job offered or in a related role for Associate, 6+ years for VP

Preferred Skillsets:

  • Working with fixed income products or fixed income capital markets.
  • Big four accounting firm experience in collateral analytics and RA runs on RMBS/CMBS deals strongly preferred.
  • Performing mortgage collateral analysis and working with huge data sets.
  • Conducting historical collateral performance analysis summarizing the prepayment and default/loss analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to automate current processes.
  • Technical software including CAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau, VBA.
  • Mentor/Manage other analysts on the team.
