Through careful consideration and analysis of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth.

Transfer Pricing team is involved with establishing, implementing and enforcing transfer-pricing policies and overseeing transactions between affiliates. As part of the team, the individual will be involved with analytics, functional review of businesses and transactions, tracking regulatory developments and projects focused on enhancing operational infrastructure related to transfer pricing. Through this the individual will have an opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth. Individual will receive continuous training, both formal and informal, and the support of senior members of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify all cross border and intra jurisdictional economic activities between GS group entities that require transfer pricing
  • Ensure that a suitable transfer pricing methodology is applied to all such interactions.
  • Exercise control over all aspects of the application of transfer pricing methods, the resulting transfers etc.
  • Understand the impact of regulatory developments and proactively work to identify solutions
  • Preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual transfer pricing reporting to key stake holders
  • Preparation and explanation of monthly transfer pricing estimates and coordination with global transfer pricing team
  • Transfer pricing projections for use in both the firm's Stress Testing processes and also ad-hoc business scenario analysis.
  • Participation in global financial/regulatory projects (systems development, new dashboard / reporting products).
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to improve our workflows, technology, and integrity of reporting information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (Preferably in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Economics, Finance, International Business)
  • The candidate should have had at least 3 years of relevant experience in the transfer pricing domain either in consulting or accounting.
  • Strong Communication - ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of people across the Firm at various levels of seniority
  • The candidate should be control focused and continuously challenging status quo to bring about improved efficiencies.
