YOUR IMPACT

The AMD Corporate Controllers Continental Europe department in The Hague is looking for a Corporate Controller to strengthen the team. In this role you will be responsible for the revenue controlling and Asset under Supervision (AUS) reporting activities of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. As Corporate Controller you will take ownership of the monthly revenue controlling activities for various entities of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the driver of the revenue activities for these entities, including their business strategies, products and associated reporting and disclosure requirements.

We're looking for a bright, driven professional who is keen to use and develop their financial analytical skills to provide high quality reporting and analysis of our entities' revenue and Asset Under Supervision (AUS) figures development in a challenging and dynamic environment.

You will be part of the Revenue & Asset Controlling team which consist of 4 sub-teams - Revenue Controlling, Asset Under Supervision Reporting, Global Distribution Oversight and Fee & Billing. You are part of an entrepreneurial and performance driven team that gives you the freedom to use your talent, express your ideas and execute them.

Responsibilities

As Corporate Controller within the Revenue & Asset Controlling team you will be responsible for the monthly revenue controlling and Asset under Supervision reporting activities for the different legal entities of Goldman Sachs Asset Management which includes but is not limited to:

  • Preparation and analytical review of monthly revenue and AUS figures of the various entities. Understand the revenue and AUS attribution to different client groups, geographical areas and strategies and understand the driver of the movements.
  • Preparation of monthly P&L movement for revenues and perform in depth analysis of the data flows while providing explanation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of various internal management reporting and quarterly external regulatory reporting
  • Draw conclusions based on advanced data analyses, and reviews reports and advices on specific needs and specifications from various stakeholders.
  • Execute activities, including file processing and reconciliation of external data sources. Contribute to the month-end closing, gathering and processing datafiles and creating a consolidated view regarding AUS and Revenues.
  • Point of contact for Finance & Strategy team and other controller teams within the firm
  • Understand the Asset Management business and keep up-to-speed with business developments and while being able to communicate this effectively to team members
  • Proactively seeking to identify improvements to manual processes and management reporting information leading to higher value added work
  • Involvement in a broad range of department-wide projects and initiatives as well as cross-departmental initiatives.

Skills and experience

  • Masters' degree in (business) economics, accounting/controlling or finance and 3-5 years relevant experience in the field.
  • Controller knowledge gained from either a previous accounting or controlling role
  • Applies existing knowledge to signal and judge possibilities for improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Result driven and able to work both independently as within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills
