RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role:

The SVP, Chief of Staff to the CIO serves as a strategic advisor and operational leader within the Office of the CIO. This executive will drive alignment across technology initiatives, manage strategic priorities, and ensure effective communication and execution across the IT organization and broader enterprise. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technology fluency, business acumen, and leadership experience in financial services, preferably within auto finance or captive finance environments.

In this role, you will:

Strategic Leadership & Execution:

  • Partner with the CIO to define and execute the technology strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Lead strategic planning processes, including annual IT roadmaps, Objectives and Key Results, investment prioritization, and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability across IT, business units, and corporate functions.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee governance of key programs to ensure milestones are identified, socialized, prioritized, and delivered on time, quality, within scope, and budget.
  • Create and manage leadership routines, including executive communications, reporting, raising issues from findings, and following up on next steps to improve outcomes.
  • Drive accountability and transparency by monitoring CIO's business performance metrics and KPIs across IT functions and promote data driven decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between the CIO and internal/external stakeholders, including executive leadership, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings, steering committees, and strategic forums.
  • Represent the CIO in enterprise-wide initiatives and decision-making forums.

Talent & Culture

  • Drive initiatives that promote a strong culture, focusing on leadership development, employee engagement, and high-performing teams, cultivating a spirit of teamwork and continuous improvement with shared goals and objectives.
  • Defining and driving clear roles and responsibilities of CIO functions.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and organizational design efforts.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within HR and IT leadership.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports To: EVP, Chief Information Officer


QUALIFICATIONS

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or transformation capacity required
  • Deep understanding of financial services, preferably captive auto finance or consumer lending required
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and executive-level communications required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels preferred
  • Experience working in regulated environments and managing compliance-related initiatives preferred
  • Experience in reviewing trends, synthesizing information to create value stories, and making recommendations based on findings preferred
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, digital transformation, and agile delivery models preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization preferred

Compensation: Competitive salary and bonus eligibility; this role is eligible for company vehicle program.
