JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager is responsible for managing delivery of large to medium scale projects and ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, adhere to expected quality standards and within budget. The Project Manager will be expected to manage the production of required deliverables; use of resources; planning, monitoring & maintaining project plans; managing project risks (including the development of contingency plans); and, ensuring work is not overlooked nor duplicated.

    • Quality Management o Stakeholder Management
    • Resource Management
    • Scope & Supplier Management
    • Document Control
  • Progress Tracking & Reporting - Track milestones and deliverables for each project
  • Ensure project plans conform with PMO standards and required level of detail
  • Identify and coordinate program critical path changes throughout projects
  • Communication Management - Communicate relevant messages to all stakeholders
  • Resource Management - Identify potential resource bottlenecks, unique requirements, contingencies and plan accordingly

Issue Management - Establish and maintain standards for issue categorization and resolution according to issue severity and facilitate resolution
  • Risk Management - Proactively identify and quantify potential risks
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures and schedule compliance / assurance reviews
  • Quality Assurance - Provide criteria in selecting contractors during the RFP process
  • Change Management - Establish and maintain a standard process for receiving, testing and approving change
  • Business Alignment - Assess the fit and identify gaps between business needs and processes with the proposed solution


  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor Degree or equivalent is a must
    • Experience within the finance industry is a must (Banking, insurance, financial services or related).
    • Project implementation of transformational initiatives with proven track record is essential
    • Agile methodology dominance and experience
    • Strong English language skills and conversational Spanish and Portuguese a plus
    • Captive financing experience a plus
    • Has a solid understanding of the overall business and corporate objectives and works under broad project direction with the ability to self-define specific tasks
    • Excels at administering and coordinating groups of individuals by promoting teamwork, delegating tasks, resolving conflict and setting goals
    • Communicates effectively at all levels in written correspondence and in live settings utilizing relevant presentation tools and techniques
    • Ability to stay on task by managing time and prioritizing responsibilities to maximize productivity and minimize distractions in key project areas
    • Manages risks by predicting and creating solutions to issues before they arise
    • Understanding of basic accounting principles to ensure projects remain within budgetary parameters
    • Takes a hands-on approach to project work and is adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken
    • Creating and delivering effective presentations
    • Comprehensive PC based tools knowledge (particularly Planview Workfront, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
