About The Role:

  • Your main responsibilities are coaching and developing a team of individual contributors.
  • Your focuses in training revolve around maximizing your team's knowledge and application of GMF credit policies, underwriting processes, contract negotiation, and GMF programs
  • You will assist the GMF Regional Credit Manager in managing all credit functions
  • You will be responsible for collaborating with Sales, Funding and other support departments.
  • Work life balance is important at GMF. The role you are looking to take on is a blend of remote and office work. It could also include potential local travel to your assigned dealers.


QUALIFICATIONS

What Makes You a Dream Candidate?

  • You will work with your assigned credit team through effective oral and written communication to set expectations, provide coaching, and hold team members accountable to create an environment for success and professional growth
  • Develop and strengthen your internal network to facilitate fostering change, eliminating potential obstacles for your team members, contributing to GMF's one team approach
  • Leverage your credit authority and advanced credit experience to review exceptions from your team to drive GMF profitability, risk, maintain compliance, and achieve volume targets.
  • Recommend decisions to the RCM on approvals outside your credit authority.
  • Multitasking is a must as you will be responsible for managing your assigned team, while assisting fellow team members as the need arises to ensure world class service level
  • Collaborate with your sales counterparts both in joint dealer visits and performing telemarketing calls to reach shared objectives
  • Draw on your strong work ethic and attention to detail to ensure all necessary documentation is in place as to maintain compliance with applicable policies and procedures

Experience

  • High School Diploma Required. Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3-5 years underwriting experience in the indirect retail auto finance industry and experience with GM Financial, along with 2-4 years supervisory experience preferred

Compensation: Competitive pay and bonus eligibility

Work Life Balance: Flexible hybrid work environment, 2-days a week in office

The base salary for this role is $73,500 to $147,000.

At GM Financial, we strive for transparency and in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience and education.

This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
