RESPONSIBILITIES
About this role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft Teams Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise collaboration environment. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and user experience of Microsoft Teams-including Teams Rooms, Teams mobile application, third-party app integrations, and light support for Teams Voice-all within a high-compliance environment.
- Collaboration Platform Support:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Teams, ensuring platform stability, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Monitor and optimize Teams usage, proactively addressing issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide Tier 3 support for Teams-related incidents, escalations, and service requests.
- Support Intune administrators in relation to the Teams mobile app.

- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms across meeting spaces.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality meeting experiences through AV optimization and proactive monitoring.
- Collaborate with facilities and AV vendors for room setup and lifecycle management.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party applications within Microsoft Teams to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Ensure integrations align with security, compliance, and business requirements.
- Partner with business units to support adoption and training.
- Assist with configuration and support of Microsoft Teams Voice features, including call routing and user provisioning.
- Collaborate with telephony teams on Direct Routing and PSTN integration as needed.
- Support end-user training and troubleshooting for Teams-based calling.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 compliance features such as retention policies, eDiscovery, and DLP.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and security teams to ensure Teams usage aligns with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, FINRA, GDPR).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Support user training and change management initiatives to drive adoption and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you a dream candidate?
Experience and Education
- Experience in IT infrastructure or unified communications roles in a large Enterprise Environment (5,000+ team members) preferred
- Experience managing Microsoft Teams in a large Enterprise Environment (5,000+ team members) preferred
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and integrating third-party apps into Microsoft Teams preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and basic telephony concepts preferred
- Experience working in high-compliance environments with Microsoft Purview and other compliance tools preferred
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and PowerShell scripting preferred
- 2-4 years of relative IT experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience Preferred
- Limited travel may be required to support business needs
- Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required
