About the role:
- Provide support to ensure that approved programs receive the necessary focus, coordination, priority and resources to succeed
- Develop plans that assess internal and external resource requirement, technology needs, interdependencies, and timelines
- Work with varied internal and external resources to support programs that promote the GM Financial brand and image
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of projects and initiatives
- Support change as the Company adapts to an evolving business environment
- Document and plan for implementing long-range corporate and departmental objectives
- Serve as a point of contact for potential vendors.
- Identify, document, and assess viability of vendor solutions, when appropriate
- Translate broad strategies into specific action items, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results
- Develop business requirements, timelines, cost/benefit analysis, and management proposals/presentations
- Develop test scripts and perform user acceptance testing
- Promote a cooperative and productive work environment by building effective professional working relationships with internal and external business partners
- Assist in the preparation of short-term and long-range goals and budgets that support Corporate strategic priorities and objectives
- Contribute to GM Financial's culture of teamwork, excellence and integrity
- Facilitate program events for internal and external business partners
RESPONSIBILITIES
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Extensive knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions and systems, with experience in multiple functional areas
- Working knowledge of the project management processes used to implement new initiatives
- Knowledge of standard Quality Assurance methodology and practices. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization (verbal and written) including demonstrated proficiency in preparing and presenting information as well as responding to inquiries
- Excellent prioritization, time management, organization, and follow-up skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Ability to translate broad strategies into actionable steps
- Provide leadership through influence, inspiration, collaboration, and teamwork
- Ability to independently make effective decisions and to respond quickly and accurately as issues arise
- Well-organized, flexible, and able to manage competing priorities effectively to ensure established deadlines are met
- High degree of initiative
- Ability to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills to resolve day-to-day problems and business challenges
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be required
Work Experience:
- 0-2 years prior experience with system changes/project implementation Required
- 3-5 years experience in operations or project implementation Preferred
- 0-2 years experience of facilitation Preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a in related field or equivalent work experience Preferred
