RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Role: The Corporate Business Systems (CBS) Manager is responsible for managing and directing both the domestic and international support activities of Oracle Application Technical Specialists and contractors who support and provide technical services for Oracle ERP and related third-party applications. They are also responsible for overseeing all project related and enhancement related changes and/or break fix activities as it pertains to any of the CBS supported systems. - Supervise Corporate Business Systems Oracle Application Technical Specialist team members - Oversee and provide direction to our IBM AMS international consultants which provide in country level application support - Act as an adviser and liaison for the Oracle Application Development and Oracle Database teams including both United States and offshore team members - Coordinate support activates with Oracle On Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services and Oracle Support - Serving as a liaison to senior IT management, reporting on the status of global projects, identifying issues and assessing their impact and proactively recommending solutions - Partner with the PMO to gather and document business, user and functional business requirements to support upgrades, enhancements, change and/or fixes to existing or new CBS systems - Planning, coordinating and monitoring the activities of outside vendors to ensure their ongoing alignment with global project and business goals - Manage international customer relationships with supported business groups - Assist GMF QA Team with developing and executing test scripts to verify all system functionality - Develop and maintain system documentation, including but not limited to troubleshooting and audit
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you a dream candidate? - Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups - Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations - Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups - Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices - Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions - Significant experience in a large and complex business environment - Working knowledge of all system applications - Working knowledge of the consumer loan business - Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions - Working knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environment - Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes - Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to effectively lead, organize and supervise - Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives - Advanced ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle On Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services and Oracle Support - Advanced experience with data visualization concepts and tools - Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision - Advanced computer skills and conversance in information technology issues - Deadline oriented Experience - Bachelor?s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required - Master?s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred - 5-7 years of relative IT experience required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
