Job Description Summary

Work for a complete Manufacturing engineering program, including development of manufacturing processes for NPI's, documenting process changes, driving process/fixture improvements, driving lead- and cycle time improvements, COQ and EHS actions. Guarantee good process description and production control data (times, routings), implement productivity actions, review and make controls to support the manufacturing. Defining investment/expense needs, driving from preparing for approvals to completion. Participating in LEAN initiative, and using 6 sigma tools for process improvements.

Job Description

Key accountabilities:

  • Work out the production technology for the NPI's, (tooling, fixturing, programming),
  • Manage the first 5 sets production,
  • Daily product/manufacturing support in relevant areas,
  • Support the operative engineering team by technology experience,
  • Design necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing NPI's and for process improvements,
  • Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process,
  • Lead internal and if needed external qualifications with both local engineering, QPEs/SQEs and DE/MPE team,
  • Participate in EHS related actions, to improve safety in own area,
  • Participates in LEAN initiative, driving AWO actions to completion,
  • Participate to improve manufacturing layout/flow analysis/workers and machine needs,
  • Customer focus and product compliance

Responsibility:

  • Responsible for dedicated technology (Turning, Milling, Welding, Grinding, Sheet metal manufacturing, etc)
  • Ensure the accuracy of documentations
  • Take the lead at strategic I&E projects,
  • Prepares and drives AR approvals for strategic investment and expenses,
  • Develops FPQ/PLQ package for NPI's,
  • Follow ISO 9001 quality standard
  • Follow the documented procedures, quality requirements
  • Lead improvements and follow Lean principles

Requirements:

  • Education: Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic engineer graduated. (BSc)
  • Experience: Relevant experience in methods/production in the mechanical industry (heavy industry)
  • Language: Fluent in English and Hungarian,
  • Knowledge: quality/productivity modern tools (Six Sigma, problem solving),
  • Tools: Able to work with office automation (Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project) and ERP software.
  • Personality: Team player behaviour, open minded and energetic personality
