Job Description Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Transmission Senior Business Leader. In this role, you will have the responsibility for the commercial aspects of the Transmission P&L, including the Go to Market strategy for the segment and growth in our Key Accounts. This leader will have the thrilling opportunity to lead the modernization of our software practices, including the business model and the SLDC. The Transmission segment includes the core Energy Management System, Power Applications, Wide Area Networks, and Renewables Management for higher voltages.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the growth of the Advanced Energy Management Systems - both orders and revenue to the business. As such the candidate must be able to develop a clear business plan for investments and deliver operating plan results.
  • Serves customers in the EMS segment - understanding their business needs, aligning portfolio investments, and in tune with their success.
  • Influence customer decisions and encourage their migration to newer product versions.
  • Self-driven and accountable for results, must be able to thrive in a fast paced, competitive environment and at times navigate ambiguous and highly-matrixed environments.
  • Communication is a key aspect of this role, must have strong voice to the market, including customers, partners and analysts at the Director to Executive level. The leader must be poised in delivering our product value propositions in all channels.
  • This is a global role, and the leader will have responsibilities to address product requirements across GE's global footprint in relation with your counterparts based in other geographies and drive a clear loop back feed to the product managers.
  • The Transmission segment leader will work cross functionally across Sales, Pre-sales, ComOps, Services, Support and Product Management to establish a winning strategy for our global portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED)
  • Familiarity with the Energy and Utilities industry and/or have experience with managing software in a related Industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management and a track record of developing new business models, building pricing (with recurring revenue), and the full go to market action plan for the segment.
  • Proven experience in software transformation and be familiar with the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to influence how customers buy, deploy, upgrade, and maintain enterprise software.
  • This role offers the flexibility to work on-site, hybrid or remote

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Expertise in Energy Management Systems, Advanced Power Applications, DER enablement and orchestration, and Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS).
  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of selling to or leading programs withElectric Utilities.
  • 10+ years of product management experience leading a >$100M category.
  • Experience in working with a variety of Business Partners- including development of channels and shared go-to-market execution.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $174,400USD -$261,600USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include be Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
