Job Description Summary

Business partner providing support to underwriting, operational accounting and risk teams. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical accounting guidance in structuring complex project financing structures, including tax equity, providing requisite accounting implication of specific aspects of transactions while providing solutions to achieve optimal results for the business.
  • Responsible for policy setting through interpretation of US GAAP and compliance with GE policy. Provides technical support to the finance and operations community, assists the sales and commercial teams , drives accounting compliance with the teams. Knowledge of local accounting standards.
  • Developing expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity periodically. Presents business solutions to leadership, communicates complex messages and negotiates with key stakeholders considering different points of view. Influences others to take action and where required negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles in USA - CPA qualified with post qualification experience of least 10 years of experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
