Roles and Responsibilities

Manufacturing Planning & Optimization:

  • Production Planning: Prepare master production plans based on demand forecasts and capacity, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Scheduling & Monitoring: Daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling and monitoring of suppliers' progress, adjusting plans as needed due to changes in demand, capacity, or material availability.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics to ensure timely material availability, addressing any potential bottlenecks impacting project execution.
  • Process Efficiency: Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.
  • KPI Management: Implement and monitor production performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct capacity analysis to balance workload

Technical Leadership & Project Engineering (P&C/UCOM - Mexico):

  • Technical Authority: Serve as the primary technical reference and engineer support for projects.
  • Project Execution Support: Provide direct engineering support and problem-solving for manufacturing issues related to P&C and UCOM projects, ensuring technical integrity and compliance.
  • Design & Manufacturing Interface: Act as the crucial interface between Engineering design teams and Manufacturing operations for projects, ensuring manufacturability and smooth transitions.
  • Specification & Compliance: Ensure all projects manufactured comply with specific technical requirements, customer specifications, and relevant industry standards for the Mexico region.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Inter-Departmental Liaison: Actively interact with Engineering, Sourcing, Project Managers, and other internal teams to resolve planning and technical issues affecting production, for projects.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Participate in planning and status meetings, providing comprehensive information and reports to senior management regarding planning progress and technical project status.

Required Qualification:

  • Higher education in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation) or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with a proven track record in production planning (at least 3 years) combined with strong technical engineering experience, especially in Protection & Control (P&C) and/or UCOM systems.
  • Specific experience with projects for the Mexico market (understanding local requirements, standards, or customer needs) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and able to manage complex, multi-faceted responsibilities.
  • Fluent English and advanced Portuguese (mandatory).
