Job Description Summary

The GT24/26 Service Systems Integration Leader (SIL) position is to be filled by a recognized leader in the gas turbine business. This person will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives associated with servicing our GT24/ 26 fleet of gas turbines, with specific responsibility for customer-facing support, proactive fleet management, RCA prioritization across the frame and support of CAPA implementation (D5-D8), ITR, NPI & Upgrades support.

Responsibilities will include ownership and accountability for leading horizontally across Digital, Applications, Advanced Research Center, Product Management, Global Supply Chain and Engineering teams in providing solutions that will create value for our Customers and GE Vernova. Additionally, in coordination with the Product Manager and Platform Leader, the Systems Integration Leader will help develop and execute product strategies that result in upgrade opportunities to drive incremental advancements in the competitiveness of the installed base, ensuring continued competitiveness and customer satisfaction across the GT24/26 segment. The Systems Integration Leader will also have the responsibility of leveraging from and/or transferring to viable product enhancement solutions across gas turbine product platforms.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

This role is within the Service Systems Engineering team's newly formed Fleet Solutions team. Services Systems Engineering is committed to effective and proactive oversight of the Mature Gas Turbine fleet, enabling GE Vernova to continue earning the confidence of our customers for future new-unit and services business opportunities.

In the role of Service Systems Integration Leader (SIL), you will:

  • Embrace a Safety-first mindset, supporting product risk-reduction with a sense of urgency.
  • Be accountable for satisfying business targets aligned with the Gas Power Services business line, leveraging Lean daily management fundamentals through execution.
  • Lead efforts focused on proactive fleet management to monitor for leading indicators to maintain/improve reliability and availability fleet wide.
  • Serve as a regular participant / presenter in Users Conferences
  • Play a key role in RCA prioritization and CAPA program execution, driving customer issue resolution.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with interfacing teams (Customer Service Engineering, Product Line, Design, Controls, MP&E, Reliability, Repair, Services Business Line, Chief Engineers, etc.) to enable open, transparent communication and speed in cross-functional decision making.
  • Apply knowledge of gas turbine design & operation as well as parts manufacturing & repair processes to partner with MYA SILs to implement new ideas that enhance value through improved parts life, serviceability, reliability, cost, and/or performance - depending on the frame's unique needs.
  • Own NPI to Services handoffs
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Systems Platform Leader for ownership and accountability for the platform, configuration, risk management, and key trades.
  • Provide technical consultation on the gas turbine technical specifics across business functions/processes, including Product Management, ITO, and OTR support.
  • Partner with Product Line on strategic fleet asset management, including emergency stocking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Extensive relevant engineering experience required
  • Significant experience in Gas Turbine engineering
  • Flexibility for 10-20% travel, including international
