Job Description Summary
• Design, implement and validate the equipment control hardware and software for industrial automation and control systems.
• Establish and maintain Contract Design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide Technical interface to the customer and suppliers.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- 4 to 6 years of experience to carry out the engineering and software development for any process industry control systems etc.,
- Be part of a multi-disciplined project team, control system development and Validation for different domain projects.
- Improve the efficiency of the engineering process, through development and use of standard engineering solutions for projects.
- Manage change using the engineering change control system.
- Liaise with cross functional team, Sales, Project, Commissioning and Service teams.
- Liaise with other company, customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to support the Project execution.
- Provide Technical advice and assistance to sales and tendering teams.
- Adapt Project specific system controls for general industry automation system and high current rectifier application.
- Comply with all company and customer health and safety regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's / bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation engineering.
- Minimum 4 Years of hands-on experience in engineering and commissioning of automation systems.
- Autonomous hands-on experience in GE / Siemens / ABB / Allen Bradely / Beckhoff / Rockwell etc., automation products (PLCs, I/O, HMI etc.,) for multiple applications.
- Expertise in automation architectures, hardware engineering, I/O selection, instruments, component selection etc.,
- Strong Programming knowledge in FBD, Ladder, Structured Text etc., in any industrial PLC system.
- Very good experience and knowledge in redundancy in PLC and SCADA systems.
- Good knowledge in different industrial networks, managed and unmanaged switch settings, virtual networking, ring networking and hands on experience in implementing in Projects.
- Expertise in various communication protocols like Profibus, Profinet, TCP/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus (TCP), IEC61850, SNMP, etc.,
- Good experience in various field instruments and their interfaces + signal processing
- Good experience in measurement systems, current transformers etc.,
- Good experience in closed loop control systems.
- Proficient in understanding of electrical schematics, SLD and it's symbols.
- Should be able to interpret Schematic, P&I & Plant Layout diagrams.
- Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined international team
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales
- Excellent communication skills and report writing skills.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willing to travel within India and overseas for short term / Long-term working at customer sites / Regional units.
- Work may include extended hours of working during the weekends / holidays, during critical times.

- Experience in SCADA / HMI (Rockwell Factory Talk, PcVue, Intouch, Cimplicity, iFix, WinCC etc.,) Systems for any Process Industries.
- Knowledge in Drives Engineering
- Basic knowledge and experience in power electronics components, thyristor, IGBT, diode, Transformers, protection relays, Isolators etc.,
- Basic knowledge in power system components and substation equipment
- Basic knowledge in AutoCAD, E-Plan etc.,
- Good knowledge and experience in:
- Earthing system and earthing design
- Power loss / Heat loss calculations for panels
- Lighting calculations
- Industrial wiring standards
- Cable tray / cable routing for industrial applications
- Electrical circuit and field theory / network analysis
- Panel building materials & their specifications
- Control Desk building materials & their specifications
- Cable types & variants
- Cable sizing, wire sizing for control panels
- Understanding the Emergency-Stop circuits of the plant
- Knowledge the IEC standards relevant to electrical panels & automation systems
- Good knowledge on MS Office software, particularly in Microsoft excel & it's advanced features.
- France / German Language skills
