KEY TECHNICAL AREAS

1. Power System Studies - Steady StateLoad Flow.Short Circuit. Unit Interaction Factor.Multi Infeed Interaction Factor. Arc Flash.2. Harmonic Studies

Harmonic performance; harmonic stability; harmonic filter design.Power Line Carrier Interference studies and filters. Harmonic site measurements.3. Electromagnetic Compatibility Studies

Radio Frequency Interference and screening.Electromagnetic Fields.Substation Electromagnetic Zoning.EMC compliance and risk assessment of the substation.Earthing and bonding.4. Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) Studies

Transient Overvoltage.Transient Recovery Voltage.Lightning.Other EMT studies.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Modelling and performing the studies; deliver study reports.Technical responsibility in areas of expertise.Provide guidance to peers on areas of expertise.Customer facing responsibilities.Processes: develop and industrialise solution tools and processes associated with the engineering activities identified above. Design Guides.Development: Be actively involved in new developments in HVDC technologies, implementing control and protection solutions and creating / delivering new analysis techniques and system study tools in order to provide optimized system study solutions.External activities: Represent the business in external events by publishing technical papers or participating in working groups (CIGRE/IEC/IEEE).Adherence to company policies and Code of Conduct.Health and Safety: consider Health and Safety preventions, risks, behaviors. Attend EHS training.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Power Systems Engineering degree, MSc and above.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Two-three years minimum experience in industrial engineering roles.
