Supplier Quality Engineer (m/w/d)

Job Description Summary

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing our Suppliers within Central Europe Region, including both supplier capability, quality, supplier development, and monitoring activities. You will be responsible for the Supplier Management activities within Central Europe Region. This position works closely with Sourcing, Procurement, Project Quality (Assurance and Control) and Engineering to deliver quality products to our customers with a total cost mindset.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Developing both supplier quality assurance and supplier quality development, including equipment qualifications, action plans, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors
• Leveraging technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
• Leading the development & execution of short and mid-term supplier management strategies and performance that support a competitive advantage in partnership with sourcing, operations, quality and engineering
• Responsible for execution of QMS and compliance requirements associated with supplier quality management. This includes supplier QMS, process, capability and development plans
• Responsible for pushing supplier improvements within RCA (Root Cause Analysis), driving process or product qualification, managing the SDR (Supplier Deviation Request) process, registering, monitoring and managing the CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) recovery
• Supporting improvement in supplier management processes through digitization and simplification
• Responsible for key supplier management metrics

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience in supplier quality, supply chain, engineering or quality management
• Ability to communicate (speak and write) in English, German is a strong plus
• Excellent leadership skills demonstrating cross-functional teamwork and understanding of factors impacting the businesses and our suppliers
• Influence/communication - establishing good relationships; driving continuous improvement across functional & global boundaries

• Technical knowledge of HV equipment (gas insulated switchgears, transformers, isolators or sontrol system...)
• Experience on EPC projects
• Previous experience in supplier quality is a strong plus
• Proven leadership in driving results and process improvements, including strong change acceleration process skills
• Quality experience with a focus on customer experience as the number 1 driver
• Strong lean experience and continuous improvement mindset, simplifying processes and removing waste
