This role is part of a focused effort to evolve how we deliver value, not just through our products, but through the business models, support structures, and experiences wrapped around them.

Job Description

As a Strategic Product Manager, you'll drive key initiatives that enable our transition to cloud-first delivery, subscription pricing, and outcome-based product operations. This is a hands-on, high-visibility individual contributor role that works across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, and Commercial teams.

Who You Are
You're a system-level thinker with deep understanding of power systems operations and a track record of driving cross-functional change in a complex environment. You've earned your MBA not just as a credential, but as a way to connect market dynamics, business models, and customer needs.

What You'll Own

  • Design and drive execution of product-led initiatives tied to our subscription model, usage metrics, and customer experience redesign
  • Connect technical product decisions with commercial outcomes - from pricing and packaging to onboarding and support
  • Build and maintain operational mechanisms to ensure roadmap execution translates into measurable business impact
  • Shape how we define and measure value across the customer lifecycle (e.g., time-to-value, adoption velocity, renewal health)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align product strategy with operational execution

Required Qualifications

  • MBA from a top-tier institution
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or business operations in an enterprise software or industrial tech context
  • Direct experience with power systems - ideally in utility operations, grid planning, EMS/DMS, DERMS, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead through complexity
  • Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-native software or business model transitions (e.g. perpetual to subscription)
  • Familiarity with enterprise software support models, telemetry, or customer journey analytics
  • Tools: Salesforce, Tableau, Aha!, Amplitude, Confluence, JIRA

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
• Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans
• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
• Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
