Job Description Summary

In this role you will lead the digital transformation of the Steam Power Services - Parts and Repairs Process across the Power strategic ERP landscape. The Staff Technical Product Manager will be custodian of the Target Process Model for the Parts and Repairs process and how it is consistently solutioned across multiple ERP platforms as well as within various modules of an SAP ERP platform. They partner directly with their functional counterparts to set goals & objectives on business outcomes, agree on supporting ERP capabilities and critical design decisions, as well as deployment and continuous improvement priorities.

The Staff Technical Product Manager will assume the role of a product owner within the One Steam ERP SAP platform for the Steam Power Services and Steam Power businesses. This position is responsible for maintaining, designing, and configuring the application to support various areas of the Steam Power Services that utilize the platform.

Additionally, in this role, you will lead the digital transformation of the Steam Power Services - Parts & Repairs Process across the Power strategic ERP landscape. You will assume custodial responsibilities for the Target Process Model for the Parts and Services, ensuring its consistent resolution across multiple ERP platforms. You will collaborate directly with functional counterparts to establish business goals and objectives, agree on supporting ERP capabilities and critical design decisions, and prioritize deployment and continuous improvement.

This position is responsible for cultivating strong working relationships and influencing across Steam Power Services Operations teams. You will drive the scope, practices, and overall IT strategy for the Parts and Repairs process. You will build strong partnerships with cross-application/platform owners regarding integrated information flows and functionalities to ensure that digital capabilities are developed in concert with the ERP ecosystem. Ultimately, this role is accountable for delivering agreed-upon ERP capabilities and their deployment of One Steam ERP, enabling functional stakeholders to realize value from ERP.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Wing-to-Wing Parts & Repairs Process and Execution for Steam Power Services Initiatives within the Power ERP Applications.
  • Design, Configure, and Maintain SAP Modules for Parts & Repairs Processes, for the Steam Power Services Business as a Technical Product Owner.
  • Provide Wing-to-Wing Order to Parts and Repairs process in Support of the Execution of Power ERP Programs.
  • Manage Technical Architecture Analysis, Research, Design, and Development of New Functionality and Integration with Key Applications and Services under SAP Ecosystems.
  • Design New Solution Extensions Based on Business Requirements.
  • Provide Architecture and Design Guidance to the Development Team.
  • Guide the Development Team to Develop, Configure, and Implement the Solution as Per the Product Development Standards to Meet Business Requirements.
  • Monitor the Work of the Technical Team and Ensure Standards are Adhered to in Accordance with SAP's Solution Extensions.
  • Ensure Technical Integrity of Projects, ensuring that Common Technical Elements are Leveraged and Work is Not Duplicated.
  • Participate in the Product Roadmap and Product Strategy Definition.
  • Assist in the Creation of Training, Product, and Solution Documentation.
  • Support the Execution Team in Resolving Roadblocks and Interdependencies. Partner with Leadership of Technical and Functional Teams External to the Organization to Ensure Adequate Support and Engagement.
  • Manage Stakeholder Communication and Progress Reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Digital Technology & Technical Product Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience along with established leadership credentials across SAP ERP product lines

Eligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise

• Experience with at least three full life-cycle SAP ERP projects (planning, analysis, design, build, test, deploy)

• Deep experience with SAP Modules such as PP, QM, SD.

• Experience as an ERP team lead for the Modules required for Parts and Repairs process, in a project implementation or product ownership role, is considered a plus

• Process knowledge across the Parts to Repairs Process, ideally extending into its fulfillment (sourcing and warehousing) & ITO.

• Experience working with SAP ERP with a global configuration and with a highly integrated architecture, considered a plus

Leadership

• Proven experience of working with executive-level stakeholders to define IT strategy and managing multiple projects

• Track record of driving IT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes

• Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas

• Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome

• Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications

• Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making

• Demonstrates initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
