Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

GE Energy Management Services LLC seeks Sr. Staff Solution Architect (multiple positions) to be responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives. Impact approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of own team. Control/influence commercial priorities. Serve as a trusted technical advisor on the Commercial Sales Team. Align capabilities to specific outcomes, creates reference architectures, and calculates potential solution value. Develop specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), or Business Administration + 8 years progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree experience in related occupation. Alternatively, position requires a Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), or Business Administration + 5 years of experience in a related occupation.

The position also requires 5 years of experience with Transmission and Distribution industry, 5 years of experience with articulating the value via demos, storytelling and/or discussions of the operational software in the Utilities Power Industry such as SCADA, EMS, DMS, OMS, GIS, WFM, DER Management, Switching Orders Management and Mobility, 2 years of experience as a Solution Architecture, with proven experience in balancing of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and the differentiated value those solutions can provide, and 5 years of experience on consulting sales/presales in the Utility Power Industry. 100% remote role. Telecommuting is permitted. When not telecommuting, must report into offices in Melbourne, FL.
