There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for USA CBR business.
- Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the order intake and margin plan.
- Responsible for managing CBR Products Sales Specialists in USA.
- Develop and execute a plan to sell HV Breakers to target markets including Independent Owned Utilities (IOU's), Public Power, Industrial (EPC, IPP etc.) accounts.
- Lead technical and commercial tendering activities insuring compliance with tendering and booking instructions.
- Lead pricing strategy (based on competition intelligence and need for load).
- Lead and support negotiation (technical, commercial, T&Cs, risk) activities.
- Driving pipeline pulsing per region and actions to increase capture rate.
- Lead business development roadmaps definition and execution
- Enforce regular updates of SPEAk4GE (Salesforce.com) key minimum requirements by the PSS (and indirectly by the GS field sales force).
- Work directly with key customers to position our factories.
- Provide sales training to Account Managers and Channels including opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, specification influence and other initiatives as required.
- Be the essential link from the market to the PL/factories (engineering, costing, tendering, forecast, supply chain, execution, after-sales) .
- Support the factories as necessary in the execution of orders.
- Provide forecast (for factories, PLs and region), as well as market and competitive intelligence.
- Work jointly with PL Marketing and Engineering teams to drive development and delivery of new products and services to meet customer needs and improve customer
- satisfaction.
- Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows and other promotional events.
- Manage expenses of team within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Application Sales.
- Availability to travel up to 50% of time in North America.
