South Europe P&L Leader - Grid Automation (m/f/d)
Job Description Summary
While our Industry transformation keep accelerating from more and more Grid digitalization, Grid modernization and decarbonation in the European Grid, we are looking for our GE Grid Automation P&L Leader to cover the Southern Europe Geography, with a head-quarter based position in Bilbao - Spain
The Grid Automation P&L Leader for South Europe will be responsible to manage our Operations within the Geography.
The scope cover as well business development and growth in good coordination with the rest of the Regional Commercial organization in Europe.
The scope covers one main unit in Spain and three front offices in Portugal, Romania and Italy.
The scope covers the GA Portfolio, including our GridBeats newly created offering: ie our software-defined solutions which includes our Substations Monitoring, our APM/DvM solutions, our Sensors, our Autonomous Distribution, our Integrated Digital Substations and our Cybersecurity solutions. The scope includes as well portfolio of core Protection & Control activity.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment, ensure compliance with EHS, quality and Integrity policies (GE Values)
- Ensuring Grid Automation growth within the region. Building strategy plan, in collaboration with commercial/sales function, and operational capabilities
- In charge of delivering the Budget P&L: orders growth (with commercial/sales function), sales, margin, cash, cost control, Risks & Opportunities, and recovery & mitigations plan
- In charge of building a lean and performing organization within the region, with a team spread across several sites and front offices: Portugal, Romaniae and Italy.
- Lead change management to ensure teams accountability, business focus and customers mindset within the team
- Be responsible for building strong long-term relationships with customers
- Manage skills and development plan of the team - Around 120 employees across mentioned regions (project & account management, expertise for complex project)
Reporting line:Regional General Manager of the region (Europe & SSA)
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited university/college or similar knowledge/experience
- +15 years of working experience in a similar position with a consistent career path and strong business acumen
- Proven experience in leading P&L, strong business acumen with successful management experience and discipline in managing a business line
- Strong capacity to lead multi-cultural teams and to work in international matrix organization. Ability to easily interact at various levels of the company, including executive leaders
- Ability to influence and to drive changes through exceptional leadership & communication skills, personal engagement, resilience, autonomy. Ability to achieve organizational goals
- Great understanding of the Energy market & Power distribution rounds your profile
- Fluent in Spanish and English is mandatory, Italian is a plus.
