Sourcing Engineer - Projects

Job Description Summary

Sourcing Engineer is responsible to take up day to day sourcing activities required for PCP projects, like Sending RFQ , negotiating with suppliers, managing Spend , deflation , cost out actions , supplier rationalization , supplier onboarding , vendor master management, info record creation etc.

Essential Responsibilities

• Candidate should have sound knowledge on Electrical & Electronics commodities, their costing and their major cost drivers, market intelligence etc.
• Candidate with experience in global sourcing / project sourcing / tendering experience preferred
• Candidate should be able to forecast the market changes, Foreign exchange fluctuation, commodity rate fluctuation and accordingly work with suppliers on pricing.
• Candidate should have exceptional achievements in sourcing KPI like Spend, Deflation, Supplier Rationalization, Cash improvement etc
• Should have worked with good supplier base and stakeholder management
• Candidate should have strong analytical ability, data analysis capability and good decision-making capability
• Should have proficiency in working with SAP - MM module and expertise in Micro soft excel, V Lookup, Pivot etc.
• Candidate should be capable of multi-tasking, handling numerous stakeholder (almost 60 nos) and should be capable of work at ease without stress
• Candidate should have very good negotiation skills, able to negotiate with suppliers so as to meet the sales target price to win more orders
• Should have experience in executing cost out projects (Localization, resourcing projects) , Lead time reduction projects , VA VE projects etc..
• Candidate should have very good communication skills and good coordination skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics or Electrical )
• 8-10 years' experience in Global sourcing / Project sourcing / Commodity sourcing / Strategic sourcing / Supply chain
