Job Description Summary

The Systems Architect & Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for developing the solution architect by combining technical expertise, design skills and strategic thinking to create comprehensive solutions for complex customer challenges. This also includes the responsible for designing, implementation and discussions with customers for their critical operational technology systems and infrastructure from cyber threats, ensuring the reliability, availability, and integrity of industrial processes and assets.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze the customer needs and define/prepare technical proposals based on Grid Automation product portfolio including protection & controls, automation systems, industrial communications, metering monitoring and diagnostics and telecommunication.
  • Understand the latest solution trends for energy transition including wide area monitoring, distributed energy resources integration, microgrids, power management systems, remedial action schemes for power system and must be able to design and develop the overall system protection and controls with cyber security networking.
  • Prepare a consolidated system's offering including various Grid Automation business segments.
  • Ensure preparing complaint technical proposal as per customer's specifications.
  • Identify and flag the key technical risk and ensure to mitigate by consulting with product line team.
  • Manage & implement the Return of Experience
  • Ensure technical proposals are in accordance with the execution strategies.
  • Ensure technical derogation and new product improvement approvals
  • Ensure timely coordination between the various teams i.e. Sales, operations and product lines.
  • Review and respond to technical clarifications
  • Design and implement Grid Automation solutions including security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, tailored to OT environments.
  • Understand security risk and assess to identify vulnerabilities and assess potential risks in OT substation automation systems.
  • Understand patch management, security patches, network security solutions.
  • Ensure compliance of proposed solutions with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, ISA/IEC 62443).
  • Understand distribution automations, digital substations and substation automation systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or cybersecurity, computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+Years Experience in Energy Segment.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443).
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., IEC61850, IEC 62439, Modbus, DNP3, IEC104/101/103), PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks.
  • Knowledge and expertise in power management system, load shedding / islanding schemes, microgrids and special protection schemes and/or remedial action schemes for grids and plants.
  • Basic understanding of protection schematics for transmission, distribution and industrial segment.
