Job Description Summary

The Services Sourcing Leader will strategically develop and manage an international supply chain of Onshore Wind Cranes and Labor services to geographically diverse locations, while driving commercial advantage through achievement of safety, quality, cost, usage and delivery goals. The Labor Leader will contract, plan and purchase labor volume across Onshore Wind Projects & Services, while reducing costs and meeting safety, delivery and quality requirements from the supply base.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive cost out projects and negotiations with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving Projects and services budgets.
  • Manage supplier contracts, supply agreements and terms and conditions with preferred suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned.
  • Develop and execute long term commodity strategies for a diverse group of suppliers, with varying levels of complexity
  • Collaborate with global supporting resources (projects, contracts, engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve schedule and maximize utilization of purchased services.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers and technology, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management.
  • Define and drive use of preferred suppliers plus develop alternate sources to reduce schedule constraints and cost.
  • Interact with site teams to understand business needs and develop supply chain strategies that optimize total requirements.
  • Develop technical and market expertise in Labor Management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing.

  • Aptitude with analytical tools (ex. Excel, Access); specific skills should include: data-mining, pivot tables, data manipulation
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen
