Job Description Summary
The Senior Software Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting leading quality and control function efforts for software acquisition and development across the entire engineering organization. In collaboration with the hiring manager, facilitate a cross functional team to revise the software procedure package for Design and Analysis software, aligning with regulatory requirements and the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) quality program, while supporting the ability to automate and scale. Has the vision to facilitate work alignment across multiple disciplines to accomplish software control function tasks in an efficient and timely manner. This position works independently and is seen as a subject matter expert. The position is also responsible for supporting the team's ability to scale in alignment with the Nuclear projected sales roadmap, focusing on Lean values and principles.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for providing regulatory compliance leadership in the implementation of acquiring developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development and infrastructure
- Provide guidance to the team with planning and execution using Lean and/or agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
- Work with Engineers to understand Nuclear Design challenges and how software qualification procedure set can be improved to support their needs, while maintaining nuclear regulatory compliance
- Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
- Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks
- Expert level skills in coaching and mentoring a diverse team in opportunities to improve the way they work across the organization to meet deliverable dates in tight timeframes and following Lean practices
- Expert level skills in project management strategies to support scaling workloads and competing priorities
- Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
- Drive compliance and adherence to Procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university.
- 10 years of post-degree work experience in a software related field.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The preferred work location is the Wilmington, NC Headquarters but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's Degree, or MBA in Project Management or Engineering Disciplines
The base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Thursday, July 17th.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
