The Senior Product Manager- Embedded Systems Controls will own the technology development roadmap and product lifecycle for the GEH Nuclear's embedded systems product offering. This scope includes the pre- engineering and functionally validated or tested analog and digital "building blocks" of Modules [e.g.; Cards or Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA)], Units [e.g.; Chassis], components and other component assemblies [e.g.; backplanes, wiring harnesses], and specific cabinets or enclosures as well as the configuration rules for the application of these "building blocks" to realize various plant systems their associated equipment that ships to nuclear power plants.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the total product lifecycle utilizing technology development roadmap and other business and product planning tools interacting cross- functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and Sourcing, and Finance, plus Sales and Marketing to drive product platform improvements, differentiation, penetration, and market expansion.
- Develop concepts for new products by collecting and analyzing internal and external customer feedback, market research, emerging technology, and competitive trends.
- Drive the process of new technology introduction (NTI) new product introduction (NPI) thru successful marketplace launch.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering on the technology development roadmap as well as including the supporting infrastructure of laboratory facilities, general test and diagnostic equipment, and system specific functional simulators.
- Collaborate closely with Sourcing on the development and sustainment of a cost competitive, flexible, and scalable supply base as well as ordering methodologies needed for non- QA pedigreed new product development and deliver QA pedigreed equipment to the nuclear operating fleet.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management plus Sales & Marketing to define potential product enhancements or new products to support growth. Provide guidance on Authorization To Quote (ATQ) related to new functionality and product offerings in the Inquiry To Order (ITO) phase of the Commercial Review Board (CRB) process.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Delivery Managers to ensure that the product offerings' capabilities, both "building blocks" and configuration rules, and supply chain capacity have been developed and validated sufficiently to materially mitigate the technical and fulfillment risks associated with each customers' specific system that is executed under an order to remittance (OTR) contract.
- Collaborate closely with Finance to ensure that adequate funding is provided in thru annual business planning and budgeting process.
- Identify, describe, justify, and drive the value proposition of proactive and continuous obsolescence management, value engineering to reduce cost, and new technology enhancements to maintain and grow the vitality and profitability of the product line for existing operating and new next generation reactors.
- Interface between joint ventures, partnerships, and various supplier relationships to bring competencies and capabilities to support the product line.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a engineering, scientific, or technical discipline [e.g.; Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mechanical]
- 10 years of experience in high technology, high reliability, and high safety level electronics products industry [e.g.; aerospace, electrical transmission & distribution, grid automation, medical, marine, military, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, power, process manufacturing].
Eligibility Requirements:
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internally as required up to 10%
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to U.S. export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of U.S. person status prior to employment
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior experience in engineering embedded systems design, development, and product to market implementation in related industry.
- Prior experience in product management in related industry.
- Prior of experience in LEAN, AGILE, FastWorks, or similar product development methodologies and tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering, scientific, or technical discipline [e.g.; Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mechanical]
- PMP / PMI Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Nuclear industry experience in power generation, military, or test laboratory environments.
- Process or scientific instrumentation, monitoring, control, or process automation knowledge.
- LEAN Certification or equivalent continuous process improvement certification.
- Experience with project management, project set-up, risk identification and mitigation strategy development
- Solid understanding of business, program, and project level planning, budgeting, and financial accounting related to product development, obsolescence management, and lifecycle support as well as change and scope management.
- Strong team mindset, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, especially coordinating with Engineering, Project Delivery, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Finance, and Customers.
- Strong cross- functional leadership capabilities and business acumen with ability to motivate others and achieve results.
- Strong data driven analytical, problem solving, and action planning skills.
- Strong PC and desktop or web based productivity software skills.
- Solid knowledge, skill, and experience in Project Management [e.g.; PMP/PMI].
The base pay range for this position is $118,600-160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 5/30/2025.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
