Role Summary/Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Principal Product Manager with expertise in Transmission Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS). This role combines domain depth, customer engagement, and product leadership to support our transition from perpetual/on-premise delivery to subscription-based SaaS models.
The successful candidate will act as a senior individual contributor and formal mentor, supporting our Performance product management organization. They will help shape how we serve global utility customers, drive SaaS adoption, and support revenue growth across both Transmission & Distribution (T&D) product lines.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Act as a subject matter expert in EMS/ADMS, guiding product managers on customer needs, business case development, and utility pain points.
• Lead mentorship and onboarding for new PMs, ensuring strong grounding in customer workflows and utility operations.
• Partner with commercial and product leaders to drive growth in recurring revenue (ARR) and P&L performance during SaaS transition.
• Support pricing, packaging, and subscription strategies to accelerate SaaS adoption across our portfolio.
• Engage with customers at Director+ level to influence adoption, migration, and modernization of grid management software.
• Represent the company at industry events, forums, and customer councils, providing thought leadership on utility transformation.
• Coordinate with regional sales and enablement teams, contributing to sales kickoffs and customer-facing activities.
• Provide input into migration planning and architecture conversations, ensuring alignment of customer experience, technology, and commercial goals.
• Collaborate globally with other product managers to ensure alignment across regions and product lines.
• The leader is responsible for serving Customers segment - understanding their business needs, aligning portfolio investments, and in tune with their success. The candidate must be able to influence customer decisions and encourage their migration to newer product versions.

• The candidate must be self-driven and accountable for results. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, competitive environment and at times navigate ambiguous and highly matrixed environments.
• Communication is a key aspect of this role. The leader must have strong voice to the market, including customers, partners and analysts at the Director to Executive level. The leader must be poised in delivering our product value propositions in all channels.
• This is a global role, and the leader will have responsibilities to address product requirements across GE's global footprint in relation with your counterparts based in other geographies and drive a clear loop back feed to the product managers.
• This leader will work Cross Functionally across Sales, pre-sales, ComOps, Services, Support and Product Marketing to establish a winning strategy for our global portfolio.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business.
• 10+ years' experience in the utility industry, with direct involvement in EMS and ADMS software.
• Proven track record in product management or related leadership roles in energy software.
• Demonstrated ability to influence utility customers at senior levels.
• Experience driving SaaS business models (subscription, pricing, packaging).
• The successful candidate will have experience in Software transformation and be familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle.
• The successful candidate will have experience in influencing how Customers buy, deploy, upgrade, and maintain enterprise software.
• This Business Leader will have familiarity with the Energy and Utilities industry or have experience with managing software in a related Industry.
Desired Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree in Business or Technology.
• The ideal candidate will have a track record of selling to or leading programs with Electric Utilities.
• Hands-on experience supporting SaaS migrations, including exposure to architecture and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of AI, UX, or digital experience trends in utility operations.
• Experience mentoring or coaching product managers.
• Expertise in Distribution Management Systems, Energy Management, Advanced Power Applications, DERMS enablement and orchestration, and Outage Management

Roles and Responsibilities
- The Senior Product Manager ADMS will have Expertise in Advanced Distribution Managed Systems, Distribution Advanced Applications, and Outage Management Systems.
- The leader is responsible for the Growth of the Advanced DMS product line - both Orders and Revenue to the business. As such the candidate must be able to develop a clear business plan for investments and deliver operating plan results.
- The Distribution leader is responsible for serving Customers in the DMS segment - understanding their business needs, aligning portfolio investments, and in tune with their success. The candidate must be able to influence customer decisions and encourage their migration to newer product versions.
- The ideal candidate will be able to adeptly balance competing priorities across the customer base. The leader will find ways to deliver backlog with finite resources and balance competing priorities.
- The candidate must be self-driven and accountable for results. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, competitive environment and at times navigate ambiguous and highly-matrixed environments.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years' Experience with ADMS systems

Additional Information
The base pay range for this position is 156,400.00 - 195,500.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% Variable Incentive Bonus. This posting is expected to close on September 9, 2025.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
