The successful candidate(s) will be a Senior Materials Engineer for nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies for Wind Turbine products.

Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures.
- Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques.
- Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications.
- Service projects support - NDT process development for field inspection and validation. Interface with services teams and 3rd parties to develop field procedures.
- Work with RCA teams, suppliers, 3rd parties, and field teams to establish requirements (equipment and processes) for inspection.
- Drive conversations between sourcing, engineering, and suppliers to optimize NDT (cost/benefit trade-offs).
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.
- Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment.
- Provide engineering estimation of NDT examination performance for factory and in-service test conditions.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical).
- Minimum 10 years experience with non-destructive test methods and procedures, including at least 5 with ultra-sonic test methods.
- Minimum 10 years engineering experience
- Ability and willingness to travel (international and domestic) up to 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands on experience with NDT methods for volumetric (UT) and surface (MPI, PT) inspection.
- Proficiency in common NDT methods for metals. Good understanding of other acoustic and electromagnetic test methods. Experience/knowledge of PAUT.
- Familiarity with casting, forging, welding and joining material processes.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards for NDT.
- Understanding of EHS requirements for NDT practices.
- Inquisitiveness and desire to learn and apply SOA NDT methods and techniques.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team contributing to positive culture and overall team results
