The Senior Engineering Manager - Electrical Fleet and Factory Support is a
key people leader in the Electrical Subsystem team. This role will have
responsibility for the performance of the Electrical Systems in the global GE Vernova wind turbine fleet, providing elevated support to resolve issues in
manufacturing and the field.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and develop team of Electrical Fleet and Factory Support Engineers, providing support to the global operating fleet of GE Vernova Wind turbines.
  • Function as key interface between Fleet Performance Management and Wind Electrical Subsystem for electrical systems and components.
  • Define team strategy, priorities, and manage team workload. Guide team through issue tracking/identification and ensure smooth transition into issue closure or through RCA process.
  • Work closely with Fleet Performance Management team to develop work instructions, test procedures, and standard work.
  • Partner with manufacturing facilities to develop work instructions, test procedures, and standard work.
  • Provide engineering judgement and oversight to electrical issue resolution process.
  • Support key fleet operating metrics, including availability. Collaborate with Digital Technology teams to develop improved methods for data-driven fleet monitoring.
  • Drive communication consistency to internal and external customers. • Present key findings and issue details to Senior Leadership.
  • Support customer meetings as needed.
  • Perform annual performance reviews and provide regular feedback to team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry work experience in electrical systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex issues for broader internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with ability to motivate and provide positive and candid reinforcement to team.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • Experience applying Lean principles to solving technical and operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of wind turbines, electrical systems and/or components.
  • Ability to develop strategic vision and follow through.
  • Demonstrated clear thinker with ability to navigate complex and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to improve / automate existing processes

The salary range for this position is $131,700 - $219,300 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on July 25th or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
