Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, to setup, own and lead the design, implementation, and sustenance of CI/CD pipeline for Salesforce, CPQ, Flexera and other commercial applications. Partner with Engineering, Operations, Application Architect and QA Lead to continuously improve team efficiency to build high-quality products with faster turnaround time by enhancing and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline over-time. Will automate build, deployment, unit test validation, regression suite validation and feature roll-over to all platform environments. Will own and manage releasing sprint deliverables in partnership with build and run teams. Evangelize, train, guide and enable Engineering team to help improve DevOps adoption. Will be responsible for providing secure, scalable, and highly available platform infrastructure to facilitate smoother releases

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, You Will:

  • Work with a multi-functional commercial IT team (including development, quality assurance, and operations) to design, document, and implement a scalable CI/CD pipeline for Salesforce.com, CPQ and other commercial systems from ground-up.
  • Define, own, and maintain DevOps roadmap for GE Digital IT Commercial team.
  • Define, build, measure and improve DevOps KPI's
  • Research, evaluate, create POC's and recommend right DevOps framework and tools
  • Co-define build, test, release, update, and operational processes for DevOps in partnership with Platform Architect, QA Architect and Engineering team.
  • Partner with Platform architect, QA Architect, Engineering, upstream/downstream teams, and Operations to define and implement automated pipelines (Plan, code, build, test, release and deploy).
  • Define and implement version control, release, backup, and restoration features of the delivery pipeline
  • Work with development and operational team members to provide training and leadership on DevOps tools and best practices
  • Facilitate production releases and deployments
  • Setup, Analyze, debug, and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • 5+ years DevOps/Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience in automating delivery pipeline for Salesforce
  • Experience with Jenkins, Copado, Flosum or other DevOps tools
  • Expertise with Puppet/Chef/Ansible/ Terraform Configuration Management
  • Experience with QA Automation tools such as Selenium, Tosca, Provar, API rest assured, POSTMAM, Cucumber, RFT etc.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com, SFDX, CheckMarx, Ant and APEX PMD

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
  • Experience implementing either Flosum.
  • Salesforce DevOps tool certifications (Flosum)
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • AWS Solution Architect
