Job Description Summary

Responsible for activities and processes that help the Sales & Tendering Specialist organization achieve business objectives
Executes standard sales tasks and typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. May be responsible for targeted clients, stable regions, and/or small/medium sales territories.
This entry-level role focuses on supporting the preparation of commercial offers, bids, and sales activities for FACTS technologies such as STATCOM, SVC, and Series Compensation systems.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Broadening knowledge of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups to execute policy/strategy. Still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and tender documentation for FACTS projects. Collaborate with technical teams to align offers with customer requirements and project specifications. Ensure compliance with internal processes, commercial guidelines, and risk management policies.
  • Support market research, competitor analysis, and pipeline tracking to identify sales opportunities.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require commercial knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in the Sales & Client Management Support.
  • Basic understanding of power transmission systems and FACTS technologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
