Job Description
Sales Responsibilities
- within a geographic area / assigned customer responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, responsible for sales development cycles from prospecting, detailed presentations & negotiation to closing & following up indent-to-order for assigned operating plan.
- you will identify opportunities to grow Pipeline (Commit, Orders, CO, ) through increased outage visibility and bid participation.
- understand the Customer's CTQ's, and relay them to the deal teams, map customer's stack holder, decision process, evaluation criteria and ordering cycle and align it with outage timeline.
- you will collaborate with commercial, application engineering, product sales, CSA Sales, Upgrades, and other key constituents highlighting customer concerns for resolution as Voice- of Customer (VOC)
- providing timely, accurate and complete forecasts of commitments, orders and sales through pacing, progress & key deals tracker. Complete Outage Visibility & Participation and keep the NEX updated.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of power market/trends, supply / demand balance, technology, pricing, risk, regulations & competition.

Sales Operations Responsibility.
- Lead process improvements and drive simplification projects/kaizens that reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction. Drive daily/weekly management rigor for the commercial team.
- Establish a data driven culture, to ensure teams maintain accurate/zero defect data across systems including NEX, Demantra, smartsheet etc...
Business intelligence / Outage & Pipeline management
- Partner with commercial team to monitor market trends, customer, competitors, and support country-by-country market insights & strategy building, and developing annual market handbook
- Supporting the rigor around customer planning with Account Managers & cross functional teams, identify account strategy changes, provided visibility to process steps that enables the teams properly integrate customer budgets & outage planning cycles, with support from pole business intelligence leader.
- Support overall outage mining and planning to enhance business growth, ensure 100% outage participation, improved outage realization & disposition (in NEX), forecast long term biz outlook (SAS outage view/entitlement vs participation) to drive key commercial decisions to maximize share
- Partner with commercial finance & pole sales operations excellence leader to lead overall pipeline management (in NEX), providing leading indicators in terms of pipeline health, convertible order health
- Support sub region GM in managing deal progress with leading indicators in terms of R status movements, commercial progress enablers, identify key stagnant deals that require leadership support
- Work with IT/NEX team to simplify/automate reports to reduce or eliminate manual processes.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in an Engineering or Business discipline
- At least 8-10 years of sales/commercial experience, of which at least 3 must be in the power generation industry.
- Ability to travel regularly.
- Ability to establish a data driven culture.
