Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Services Sales Leader CNSEA, the Services Sales Operations Specialist for China will be responsible for the China team driving sales operations and services campaign across a range of diverse markets, including General Industry, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Rail, Mining & Metals, Maritime, Microgrid and Defence.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead opportunity pacing and provide updates to Management team on status of current opportunities, future opportunities and forecast.
  • Identify roadblocks in ongoing opportunities/sales process and work across P&Ls and functions to support to resolve them
  • Win-loss exploration and deep-dive to identify key drivers of wins and losses
  • Work with product team/key experts to organize trainings for commercial teams on new products, existing products and enable sharing of best practices (GE's positioning vs opposition, our strengths, lessons learnt from previous bids, execution, etc.)
  • Prepare live SFDC reports and presentations for MCRs, PSRs and other business reviews
  • IB Guardian for China, making sure IB is accurate and up-to date with new IB
  • Perform IB analytics every quarter to identify areas of improvement/untapped potential
  • Lead services campaigns in partnership with commercial teams
  • Manage and make sure customer contact information is recorded in SFDC
  • Win-loss exploration and deep-dive to identify key drivers of wins and losses
  • Work with Services and segment managers to operationalize Service council initiatives in the region - top campaigns, VOC, skillset etc.
  • Operationalize use of SmartGROW tool in the region
  • Organize trainings on offerings, processes and tools
  • May have some independence to make choices within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require commercial knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a diploma or degree in Marketing or Engineering or relevant experience with at least 2 - 5 years in a similar capacity or industry focus
  • Sales and services experience
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills
  • Self-confident and goal-oriented achiever
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytic approach to problem solving
