The service unit of GSI (Projects group inkling AC Substations, FACTS, and HVDC) based in La Prairie (QC) is looking for a tendering leader for Service activity covering North American market (Canada and USA) and other regions who would also manage complex bids.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Make sure the GE tendering policy is understood and properly applied across the team

• Manage mainly complex offers for North America and other regions from the opportunity identification to the execution of the purchase order

• Be able to lead a complex bid process and liaise in a timely manner with the different departments and internal business units to make sure GE can answer respecting the deadlines and complying with the customer request or at least listing and negotiating the exceptions

• Work with purchasing to support and obtain quotes for service estimates and with engineering to make sure GE's offer is complying with the customer's RFQ

• Define market price levels, evaluate opportunities' risk, manage timely delivery and accuracy of offers, follow-up on offers and help to negotiate contracts with customers.

• Be able to read, understand and negotiate complex contractual terms as part of a customer RFQ

• Be able to draw up a complex offer, technically and commercially in English

• Assist the Sales Team in major projects (80%) but also quoting small and large projects.

• Develop internal relations with Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers

• Support and help to define and implement commercial action plan to deliver the Unit's strategic objectives for order intake, sales revenue, etc.

• SAP (ERP) input and reporting on productivity, SPEAK (CRM) input, follow up and reporting

• Responsible for all Service Tenders

• Set objectives and timelines for your team

• Participate in weekly review/pacing calls

• Educate/Guide the team

• Set training objectives and plans.

• Identify any recruitment needs

• Analyze RFQ Risk -Scope of solution / Identify Risks

• Work with Business Development and Sales to request for missing information from RFQ documents

• Participate and contribute in the GO/NO GO meeting.

• Build commercial & technical Proposal w/costing & CMM. (Collaborate with Engineering/Supply chain/Field Operations/operations management).

• Create technical requests in Service Responsiveness and communicate clearly to engineering.

• for large offer set pacing calls with disciplines

• for large offer - deal desk reviews.

• Offer administration (SAP creation/Box/Speak PL Scope)

• set offer review meeting/seek approvals.

• Work with Project management on change orders

• ITO to OTR Transfers (review the PO/contracts - identify deficiencies, non-conformance, omissions)

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferably in electrical engineering, or equivalent

• Proven experience in a commercial AND tendering role in similar commercial environment

• Experience in the high voltage transmission market preferred

• Knowledge of domestic environment is mandatory

• Fluent English mandatory, French would be a plus

The salary range for this position is 108,600.00 - 144,800.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. 108,600.00 - 144,800.00 - 181,000.00 USD Annual

Responsabilités essentielles

  • S'assurer que la politique d'appels d'offres de GE est bien comprise et correctement appliquée par l'équipe.

  • Saisir les données dans SAP (ERP), assurer le reporting de productivité, saisir et suivre les informations dans SPEAK (CRM).

Application du processus de gestion des appels d'offres

  • Analyser les risques liés aux RFQ - périmètre de la solution / identification des risques.
  • Travailler avec le développement commercial et les ventes pour obtenir les informations manquantes dans les documents RFQ.
  • Participer et contribuer aux réunions GO/NO GO.
  • Construire les propositions commerciales et techniques avec chiffrage et CMM (collaboration avec ingénierie, chaîne d'approvisionnement, opérations terrain, gestion des opérations).
  • Créer les demandes techniques dans Service Responsiveness et les communiquer clairement à l'ingénierie.
  • Pour les grandes offres : organiser des réunions de suivi avec les disciplines concernées.
  • Pour les grandes offres : organiser des revues Deal Desk.
  • Administration des offres (création SAP / Box / périmètre PL dans Speak).
  • Organiser les réunions de revue d'offre / obtenir les validations.
  • Travailler avec la gestion de projet sur les ordres de modification.
  • Transfert ITO vers OTR (revoir les bons de commande / contrats - identifier les lacunes, non-conformités, omissions).

Qualifications / Exigences

  • Diplôme universitaire, de préférence en génie électrique, ou équivalent.
  • Expérience avérée dans un rôle commercial et de gestion d'appels d'offres dans un environnement similaire.
  • Expérience dans le marché de la transmission haute tension souhaitée.
  • Connaissance de l'environnement local obligatoire.
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais obligatoire, le français est un atout.
