To ensure Quality control requirements within the HVDC Power Transformer PDG are adequately defined and are fully respected in execution to ensure continual improvement in product compliance & early identification of defects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Organise & provide technical support to Quality inspection team
  • Carry out Operator & Quality inspector competency validation.
  • Ensure all internal quality control validations are adequately defined and are fully respected (including Design gate stage sign-off, Incoming Goods inspection and Quality checks in-manufacture).
  • Measurement device calibration governance.
  • Spot checks at workstation & support workshop assessments including compliance audits covering Industrial Rules and Quality control documented requirements.
  • QR1 and QR2 meeting governance
  • Continual development of quality control documented processes including Design process, Incoming Goods and Manufacturing Control Plans to drive continual improvement in product compliance & early identification of defects.
  • Internal design and Manufacturing quality record administration & storage.
  • End Of Manufacturing Report review and consolidation for engineering and manufacturing portion.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of transformer design and manufacture.
  • Expertise in Quality Control technics.
  • Internal auditor qualification.
